1. What kind of cases do you handle?
We are an employment law firm that represents professional and executive employees in discrimination, harassment, whistleblower retaliation, breach of contract, defamation, and other employment-related cases. We provide severance package reviews and handle enhanced severance package negotiation. We advise and defend employees who are sued by companies for breaching non-compete agreements. We prosecute civil rights violations by governmental entities who target and retaliate against individuals for expressing their First Amendment right to freedom of speech. We also provide advice and counsel to small to mid-sized businesses who are interested in complying with employment laws.
2. Do you offer free consultations?
Sorry, we do not offer free consultations. However, we are happy to speak to you to learn the basic facts of your case and provide some initial legal guidance. If we need to discuss the case further with you, we will ask you to make an appointment for an in-person consultation.
3. What kind of fees do you charge? Do you take cases on a contingency fee basis?
Generally, we charge $350 for an initial consultation. If you decide to retain us to represent you, the consultation fee is credited towards your future legal fees. We offer a variety of legal fee options to our clients, including contingency fees, hourly fees, flat rates, and hybrid arrangements (which combine flat fees or hourly fees with a reduced contingency fee). One thing to keep in mind regarding our fees is that we are not a general legal practice. We practice solely in the area of employment law on behalf of employees. This is a complicated and specialized area of the law, and our rates reflect this. That said, you will find that our rates are very competitive among other New Jersey attorneys who concentrate in the field of employment law.
4. Do I have a good case?
In order to answer that question, we have to meet you in person to conduct a comprehensive consultation which includes a detailed interview to determine the facts and circumstances of your case and a thorough review of all documents relating to your case. On occasion, we also need to interview witnesses or other persons who can corroborate your allegations. After these steps are taken, we will evaluate the merits of your claims and present your legal options to you. We are selective in the cases we take. If, in our opinion, your case does not have sufficient merit, we will decline representation and recommend you to a reputable attorney to get a second opinion.
5. Where is your office located?
Our office is at Two Tower Center Boulevard, 8th Floor, in East Brunswick, New Jersey. The building is convenient and easily accessible via Route 18, Route 1, or the New Jersey Turnpike (Exit 9) to all areas of Middlesex, Mercer, Monmouth, Ocean, Somerset, Union, and Essex counties and beyond.
6. What are your hours of operation? Do you have evening or weekend hours?
Our office hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. If a client requires an after-hours or weekend appointment, we can accommodate subject to the attorneys’ availability.
7. Do You Accept Credit Cards?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover.
