What kind of cases do you handle?

We are an employment law firm that represents professional and executive employees in cases where their employers have violated their rights through discrimination, harassment, whistleblower retaliation, breach of contract, defamation, or other unlawful or wrongful conduct. We provide severance package reviews and handle enhanced severance package negotiation. We advise and defend employees who are sued by companies for breaching non-compete agreements. We prosecute civil rights violations by governmental entities who target and retaliate against individuals for expressing their First Amendment right to freedom of speech.

Do you offer free consultations?

We gladly offer free telephone consultations to potential clients to learn the basic facts of the case and provide some initial legal guidance. If we need to discuss the case further with you, we will ask you to make an appointment for an in-person consultation.

What kind of fees do you charge? Do you take cases on a contingency fee basis?

Generally, we charge $350 for an initial in-person consultation. If you decide to retain us to represent you, the consultation fee is credited towards your future legal fees. We offer a variety of legal fee options to our clients, including contingency fees, hourly fees, flat rates, and hybrid arrangements (which combine flat fees or hourly fees with a reduced contingency fee). One thing to keep in mind regarding our fees is that we are not a general legal practice. We practice solely in the area of employment law on behalf of employees. This is a complicated and specialized area of the law, and our rates reflect this. That said, our rates are very competitive among other New Jersey attorneys who concentrate in the field of employment law.

Do you have experience suing big companies or going against big law firms?

Most of our cases are against large New Jersey, national, or international corporations. We actually prefer it this way. In our experience, large corporations generally hire good law firms who know this area of the law as well as we do. It sometimes easier to negotiate and resolve cases when the attorney on the other side is well-informed and knowledgeable about employment law. Also, larger corporations tend to be more pragmatic and less emotional about being sued than smaller, “mom and pop” companies. Whatever the size of the corporate defendant, large or small, we provide the aggressive, determined, and effective representation our clients expect and deserve.

Do I have a good case?

In order to answer that question, we have to meet you in person to conduct a comprehensive consultation which includes a detailed interview to determine the facts and circumstances of your case and a thorough review of all documents relating to your case. On occasion, we also need to interview witnesses or other persons who can corroborate your allegations. After these steps are taken, we will evaluate the merits of your claims and present your legal options to you. We are selective in the cases we take. If, in our opinion, your case does not have sufficient merit, we will decline representation and recommend you to a reputable attorney to get a second opinion.

Where is your office located?

Our office is centrally located on Route 18 in East Brunswick, New Jersey. The building is convenient and easily accessible via Route 18 or the New Jersey Turnpike (Exit 9) to all areas of Middlesex, Mercer, Monmouth, Ocean, Somerset, Union, and Essex counties and beyond.

What are your hours of operation? Do you have evening or weekend hours?

Our office hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. If a client requires an after-hours or weekend appointment, we can accommodate subject to the attorneys’ availability.

Can I drop by to ask one of the attorneys a question?

Unfortunately not. We see clients by appointment only. If you’d like to make an appointment, please contact our office and we will be happy to schedule an appointment with you.
